Key West enjoys a long season, where andlsquo;long’ means year-round except for the occasional bad weather days. Unlike most of the continental US, our southernmost point in Key West offers a tropical climate. Like other tropical climes that means that technically there are two seasons, wet and dry. In practice the wetter season falls from late July through early October. Rainfall stays fairly even the rest of the year.

There are so many reasons why visitors from around the world flock to Key West to go scuba diving. But the number one reason, of why they decide on Key West, should be because of the safety standards are held in the highest regards.

Lobstering is a seasonal activity that allows fishers to find and gather one of Americans' favorite seafood delicacies. In Florida, fishers, amateurs and tourists interested in lobstering are welcome to hunt for the Spiny Lobster, a type of lobster without the large claws characteristic of Maine lobsters but with a delicious tail that is as tasty and popular as Maine's variety.

It will be February in Key West Florida soon and like the rest of the country, we will beseeing some of the colder days of the year. It looks like this upcoming week, following Valentine's, is going to be the last cold week of the year (or so we hope).
